Tecnoplast plans, develops, designs and produces the moulds in-house (for exclusive use in its own injection moulding machines).

The engineering department disposes of various CAD/CAM systems for processing all kinds of files and formats, and the mould making workshop uses the latest technologies and ultra-modern machine tools, including milling centres and wire-cut and die-sinking EDMs, all of which are CNC-controlled.

A CAE system for simulating the moulding operation is available in-house; it enables the engineers and customers to determine the best design characteristics for the moulds and elaborate the appropriate geometries and materials for the mouldings.

Problems arising from distortion, brittleness, flow behaviour, the injection technique, cooling etc. can also be simulated and therefore avoided.
